Eligibility Requirements: 

• Current AMP account holder with non-electric space heating HVAC systems.
• The heat pump must have a 15 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating or higher, and an 8.5 HSPF (Heat Seasonal Performance Factor) or higher
• Heat Pump HVAC systems must be NEW, installed, and used at your AMP residence.
• New construction is not eligible.
• Customers are eligible for up to 3 heat pump HVAC system rebates every 10 years.
• Effective date of this program is July 1, 2022. Only purchases made on or after the start date are eligible.
• Eligibility is for customers of Alameda Municipal Power with an active account who are installing qualified products.   

• Photo of your receipt/ proof of purchase for the new HVAC system
• Photos clearly demonstrating fuel switching has occurred. This can be achieved by providing photos of:
  • Existing gas-powered appliances before replacement, and
  • Newly installed electric appliances
• Contract or paid invoice(s) to certified electrician, showing the itemized and subtotaled cost of the HVAC fuel switching project (electrician’s invoice must include the electrician’s license number). If capping gas lines, include this as a line item in the contractor invoice.
• Copy of your FINAL signed building permit

• Eligibility is for customers of Alameda Municipal Power with an active account who are installing qualified products.
• Only customers switching from natural gas to all electric are eligibile.
• The entire exsisting gas furnace/system must be removed to be eligibile.
• The heat pump must have a 15 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating or higher, and an 8.5 HSPF (Heat Seasonal Performance Factor) or higher
• Heat Pump HVAC systems must be NEW and installed at your AMP residence.
• Customers are eligible for up to 3 heat pump HVAC system rebates every 10 years.
• Effective date of this program is July 1, 2022. Only purchases made on or after the start date are eligible.   
• Products must be installed and used at customer’s Alameda Municipal Power service address.
• Customer agrees that ordered products will not be resold under any circumstances.
• Customer is solely responsible for installation of all products in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
• Customer acknowledges that Alameda Municipal Power does not expressly or implicitly warrant the performance of installed purchased products and is not liable for any damage caused by the installation of these products or for any damage caused by the malfunction of the installed purchased products.
• Alameda Municipal Power is not responsible for items lost or delayed in the mail, nor any remittance delayed due to incorrect applications.
• Offer is valid on new product sales only and for as long as funds remain available.
• This program is subject to change or termination without prior notice.
• The rebate cannot exceed the pre-tax purchase price.
• New construction is not eligible.
• Customer agrees that AMP reserves the right to inspect the installation premises of the product for 24 months after the date of application or request additional documentation prior to rebate payment. Rebate may be denied by AMP if this condition is not met by the customer.
